Grape Breeder Tom Plocher’s House and Vineyard Property in Hugo, MN

Minnesota, Washington County.  About 150-200 vines remain from my many years of breeding:

some seedling selections, some breeding varieties and some mature vines of my commercial

varieties Petite Pearl, Crimson Pearl, Verona, and Veritage.  But the infrastructure is still in place

and being maintained to support about 800 more vines. The property includes a custom-

designed eco-friendly house built in 1991-92, It has 4 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and spacious

indoor-outdoor communal spaces, plus 500 sq ft. studio apartment for guests or rental. There is

a well, raised bed septic system, gravel driveway, and pond.  Incredible quiet beautiful place in

a very rural setting but only 35 minutes from downtown St. Paul.  $850,000.

I have the following grapes available this year from Sampson Valley Vineyard in North East Wisconsin (25 NNW of Green Bay):

~1/2 Ton LaCrescent (Ripens typically end of September)

~1 Ton of Frontenac Blanc (Usually ripens early October)

~1/2 Ton of Petite Pearl (Mid October)

~1/2 Ton Frontenac Noir (Mid October)

I would consider leaving Frontenac Blanc and Noir hanging for Late Harvest or Ice Wine.  (Both have reached 28.5 brix for Late Harvest and 40+ brix as Ice wine)

I have smaller quantities of others varieties if interested (Itasca, marquette, Foch, st pepin, LaCrosse)

We can pick for you.  We have an on-site chiller at the vineyard.  We can also deliver at a rate of $1/mile from the vineyard.

Is anyone removing (pulling or cutting) vines soon? I would like to get some grape vine wood but I am not cutting any of my own.
