The Wisconsin Grape Growers Association in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin Extension is holding a Wisconsin Grape Growers Field Day, on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The Field Day is hosted by Cambridge Winery. 

 

The Field Day is open to all grape growers and is a good opportunity to ask questions, learn from experts, and talk with other growers.

Join the Wisconsin Grape Growers Association (WGGA) and the University of Wisconsin Extension for an exhilarating Field Day on Thursday, August 21, 2025, hosted by the acclaimed Cambridge Winery in Cambridge, Wisconsin! Kick off the excitement with registration at 9:00 AM and dive into the program at 9:30 AM—don’t miss out!

This event is a fantastic opportunity for all grape growers to ask questions, soak up expert insights, and connect with fellow growers. Our host, Frank Peregrine, will welcome you to his award-winning vineyard, boasting gold, silver, and bronze medals from the Wisconsin State Fair since 2013, known for its boutique wines and exceptional hospitality.

  • 9:00 AM: Registration & Networking
  • 9:30 AM: Welcome by WGGA President Craig Carpenter & Intro by Frank Peregrine
  • 9:40 AM: Presentation by Larry Fiene-Planet Earth Agronomy
  • 10:10 AM: UW-Extension Spotlight with Josie Dillon, our new Statewide Fruit Outreach Specialist—your “boots on the ground” for fruit expertise!
  • 10:40: Shawn Hilliard-Helena "New" Organic fungicides
  • 11:10: Leslie Holland, UW Madison Plant Pathology-Fungicides
  • 11:40: Emilie and Fatma-PHD Students-UW Madison- Japanese Beetles& Wasps
  • 12:10 Amaya Atucha, UW Madison Horticulture
  • 1:00 PM: Delicious Lunch (sandwich & salad bar with wine tasting, tax, and tip included)
  • 3:00 PM: Adjourn

Cost (includes lunch & refreshments):

  • $40/person for WGGA members or businesses
  • $60/person for non-members
  • $10 late fee per orchard/company after August 20, 2025
